Options strategies  trading provides a multitude of different strategy approaches in order to capture profits from stock price movement or non- movement.  the question is -- is there a best way is there a best option strategy to trade all the time?

The answer to that is that there is a best option strategy, and each option strategy will be determined from its underlining stock trading system.

For the option strategies of buying calls and buying puts the extra risk reduction brought on by complicated options combinations can be replaced simply by buying  less calls and puts.  The problem most have when trading the call and put option strategy, the straight and call and straight put option strategy as they always tend to buy too many of the options!  (it's the #1 enemy of options traders)

When it comes options trading - simple is best.  Simple can make lots and lots of profits.  But who can separate out their emotions enough to the point where they can keep it simple?

The secrets to keeping it simple come from integrating a good stock trading system to use in tandem with your options strategies.  The system must be super simple and actually fun for you to trade, in order to get your self to trade that system accurately.  Some of the best options trading systems  take less than 5 minutes a day of observation and action, and some even less than that.

Most of your time in your options trading should be spent studying and waiting for an opportunity.  Let your options trading system help point out to your opportunity.

Or you can trade your system purely, mindlessly taking the signals for potential maximal returns.  Much of the time this is a better strategy, if your system is good, because... mechanical trading keeps the emotions and decision making process out which is good for trading.

The challenge will be to those who hate 'work' or the term 'job' because system trading essentially becomes a job since you are just executing tasks your new boss (your system) tells you to do.  There is nothing wrong with that!  That is how the entire human civilization has advanced! - by structure, organization and authority (your system would become the structure, organization and authority in this case).

Just think for a second... what if you invested into a high probability price scenario on a repeated basis in your favor stocks?  Let's take AAPL for example.

AAPL 12/15 80% Winning +243.97 $/share for 2007

AAPL had 15 system price trigger patterns in 2007.  What if you invested in the price trigger pattern as your 'investment'?  Your options investing could have had huge, repeated returns.   Of course AAPL went up in 2007 by quite a bit too but a good price trigger based system will give you option investing opportunities in any up, down or sideways market.

So if you invested with options in each price trigger pattern you would have one 12 times out of 15 tries netting about 243.97 stock points and approximately 170 points in your options which equals $170,000 buy just using 10 contracts.  (10 contracts control of 1000 shares of AAPL.  10 contracts in AAPL cost an average of $8,200.  So $8,200 average option investment, invested 15 times brought about $170,000 in profit in one year.  Pretty nifty eh?

GS 14/17 82.35% Winning +336.01 $/share
